Manama, 04 August, 2016: The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications’ (MTT) Bahrain Post has issued two commemorative stamps on the occasion of Arab Postal Day. Bahrain Post seeks to support the development of the postal sector in the region together with other Arab countries to achieve the goals of sustainable development, whereby the postal service plays a role by contributing to the necessary infrastructure development.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications (MTT)'s Assistant Undersecretary for Bahrain Post, Shaikh Bader bin Khalifa Al Khalifa said: "This new issue comes in line with Bahrain's strategy to document important events, and to continue reflecting the Kingdom’s role in regional and international initiatives, while promoting the history, heritage and culture of the Kingdom of Bahrain.."
His Excellency added that post continues to be one of the essential tools in enabling communication, and Bahrain Post is keen to contribute to initiatives such as Arab Postal Day, helping to enhance communication between the people of the Arab world. "
The stamps are available category 200 and 300 fils size of 30x40 mm and Souvenir Sheet at a price of 0.750 fils and the stamps are available at all Bahrain Post branches.
