23 May 2022: Bahrain Post has been ranked first, out of 21 top-rated countries worldwide, in International Express Mail Customer Services for 2021.

The advanced ranking was based on the International Express Mail Service (EMS) Indicators of the Universal Postal Union, the main forum for cooperation between postal operators.

This classification takes into accoount key indicators, including, but not limited to, the percentage of response to the query on time, clarity of response, and quality of response to customer service.

Head of Postal Information and Rights Abdulla Hassan Al Asmi received the EMS award for the year 2021, among other operating members who were also hoonoured on the sidelines of the General Assembly, recently held in the Swiss capital, Bern.

Assistant Undersecretary for Bahrain Post at the Ministry of Transport and Communications Shaikh Badr bin Khalifa Al Khalifa expressed  pride in the prominent prize.

He attributed the achievement to the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to enhance Bahrain’s standing at all levels.

He commended Bahrain Post management and personnel, hailing their efforts to develop services and enhance performance to attain highest quality standards, in line with the 2030 Bahrain Economic Vision.

 

 

Manama - 18 April 2023: Bahrain Post at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, in cooperation with SADAD Electronic Payment System, launched the passport renewal service for the People's Republic of Bangladesh nationals via self-service kiosks in five post offices; Manama Post Office, Riffa Post Office, Isa Town Post Office, Hamad Town Post Office, and Muharraq Post Office..

On this occasion, the, Director of Postal Offices, Mrs. Latifa Mutlaq Al-Thawadi confirmed that the cooperation with SADAD falls within the Ministry's directives in providing easy and convenient services to Bahrain Post customers and meeting customers' needs through diversifying payment platforms and moving towards digitized payment options.

Mrs. Al-Thawadi also emphasized the importance of collaborating with the private sector in promoting digital services through the provision of electronic payment solutions which aim to facilitate services.

Dr. Mohammed Rifaat Al-Kashif, CEO and Board Member at SADAD Electronic Payment System said: “We are very pleased to expand our partnerships with the government of Bahrain and provide innovative payment services, in line with the Kingdom’s digitization strategy, and we strive to provide convenience to clients and their customers by providing safe and easy to use payment methods.

 

The Kingdom of Bahrain’s latest moves in developing a new Post Law were praised by a top international official attending the Second ICAO–WCO Joint Conference on Enhancing Air Cargo Security and Facilitation, which kicked off in Manama this morning.

 

His Excellency Minister of Transportation Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed met with the Director General of the Universal Postal Union Ambassador Bishar Abdirahman on the sidelines of the event which was held under the patronage of His Excellency Minister of Interior Lt-General Shaikh Rashed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and organized jointly between MoT and Customs Affairs.

 

During the meeting, areas of bilateral cooperation in postal services were discussed. Ambassador Hussein expressed the organisation’s willingness to partner with Bahrain Post, part of MoT, by providing technical assistance and support in areas central to the development of the postal industry in Bahrain. He praised the Kingdom’s recent moves in introducing a new law to govern and regulate the sector, and expressed his confidence in MoT’s regulatory role which will ensure that the postal services in the Kingdom are enhanced in line with global standards.

 

On his part, His Excellency the Minister of Transportation thanked Ambassador for attending the Second ICAO–WCO Joint Conference on Enhancing Air Cargo Security and Facilitation and reiterated Bahrain Post’s commitment to working closely with the organization to make postal services more efficient and competitive in the Kingdom.

 

The meeting was attended by the Ministry of Transportation’s Assistant Undersecretary for Postal Affairs Shaikh Bader bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.

November 13, 2018: The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications  (MTT) is proud to announce the launch of a single commemorative stamp, with HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa King of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s image, marking the centennial anniversary of the Kingdom’s aviation history 1918-2018.

On this occasion, the Kingdom of Bahrain is commemorating the arrival of the first aircraft to Bahrain and MTT’s Bahrain Post has designed the stamp with an inspired recreation of the image of the aircraft that made this pioneering journey.

The Kingdom of Bahrain has a long-standing history dating back centuries, as the center of civilizations due to its strategic location between East and West, which historically served as a gateway and in more recent times, as a transportation hub for the region.

Today, 100 years later, Bahrain continues to hold an important position in the global aviation industry, providing commercial aviation services, which has strengthened  its role as a gateway to the region, with an aviation industry that is undergoing a major infrastructure upgrade through the Airport Modernisation Programme,  which is expected to accommodate around 14 million passengers annually upon its completion.

The Bahrain International Airshow is considered to be a critical part of Bahrain’s modern aviation developments, enabling the attraction of foreign direct investment in avation and contributing to the economic development of the Kingdom.  The airshow, which is the fastest growing airshow in the region, has in fact succeeded in becoming an important event on the international aviation calendar due to its strong B2B program.

The new 100 year of aviation stamp is available in denominations of 400 fils and Souvenir Sheet at a price of 0.750 fils. The stamps are available at all Bahrain Post branches.

 

The Ministry of Transportation’s Bahrain Post has issued three commemorative stamps, crowned with the portrait of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain to commemorate the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The 2014 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to take place in Brazil from 12 June to 13 July 2014. It will be the 20th edition of the FIFA World Cup and the second time that Brazil hosts the competition. With 31 countries participating following qualification matches that started in June 2011, a total of 64 matches will be played during the World Cup. The matches are scheduled to be played in 12 cities across Brazil in either new or redeveloped stadiums.

The stamps are available in 200 fils, 250 fils, 300 fils, denominations and a first day cover at BD 1. The stamps are available at all Bahrain Post branches.
